Excello Pac columns are manufactured utilizing the highest-grade spherical silica. The bonding is polymerized to yield a high alkyl phase loading and end capped to shield the residual hydroxyl groups. We manufacture various columns with or without end capping.
Excello Ultra Pac columns utilize the same high-grade spherical silica as the Excello Pac columns. These are specially bonded to yield a monomeric alkyl phase which translates to higher transfer rates, high plate counts and excellent performance in tough separations. These Excello Ultra Pac phases are usually end capped to shield residual hydroxyls but the end cap may be eliminated or substituted with a user-specified specialty end cap if desired.
The Excello Ultra Pac-B is a modified support synthesized to yield an excellent base deactivation column by attaching very bulky groups to the silica support after the initial addition of the alkyl phase.
Cleer Sil columns were initially developed for the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety Inspection Service for quantification of residual tetracycline in meat. These columns are manufactured using a very special support and have a high carbon loading and specialty end capping. Cleer Sil columns have been used all around the world for testing for residual tetracycline in meat intended for import into the United States. These columns have also proved excellent for separating other antibiotics and related compounds that cheleate with trace metals. Please contact us for a quote on all Cleer Sil Columns.
