HPLC / UHPLC Columns
The R. E. Gourley Company manufacturers columns used for analysis of anions and cations, antibiotics, carbohydrates, foods, flavors, fragrances, nucleosides, nucleotides, oligonucleotides, peptides, proteins, pesticides various pharmaceuticals, and vitamins.
We manufacture columns of various dimensions as well as standard 2.1mm, 3.2mm 4.0mm and 4.6mm ID bores and lengths from 3cm to 30cm.
Standard Column Phases are manufactured with 3 and 5 micron materials. The following phases are readily available: silica, Trimethyl, C-4, C-6, C-8, C-18, amino, cyano, SCX, SAX, Trifluoro, and Diol. Specialty bonded phases are available upon request.
Excello Pac columns are manufactured using the highest grade Goursil spherical silica. The bonding is polymerized to yield a high carbon load. Each phase is end capped with a priority endcap to eliminate residual hydroxyl groups. Excello Pac columns have been recognized for their endurance when used with pic reagents and other buffers that are hard on bonded supports.
Excello Pac LJ columns are manufactured with Goursil spherical silica which has been specially treated to yield greater pH stability and allow for use of short chain phases such as C-1, and C-4 with and without end capping on 300Å and 500Å pore silicas for peptides and proteins.
Excello Ultra Pac (EUP) columns utilize the same high grade Goursil spherical silica as our Excello Pac columns. We specially bond these columns to yield a monomeric alkyl phase which translates to higher transfer rates, high plate counts and excellent performance in tough separations. The EUP phases are usually end capped to eliminate residual silanols but the end cap may be eliminated at the discretion of the customer.
The EUP-B is a modified support synthesized to yield an excellent base deactivation column.
Cleer Sil columns were initially developed for the U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Food Safety Inspection Service (FSIS) for quantification of residual tetracycline in meat. These columns are manufactured using a very special support and have a high carbon loading and specialty end capping. Cleer Sil columns been used all around the world for testing for residual tetracycline in meat intended for import into the United States. Cleer Sil columns have also proved excellent for separating other antibiotics and related compounds that cheleate with trace metals.
In addition to the standard columns, we manufacture Size Exclusion (GPC), HILIC, Ion-Exchange, Semi-Prep and Prep Columns.
Guard Columns are available for all phases.
All R. E. Gourley columns are tested and must pass the most stringent standards of any column on the market. They are warrantied against defects in workmanship and must meet the standards of performance as tested.
